Lecture 2.2 6 Questions for Successful Social Media
This video is part of a Coursera course, Input and Interaction (www.coursera.org/learn/social-computing?specialization=interaction-design).
This course is part of the Interaction Design Specialization (www.coursera.org/specializations/interaction-design) led by Scott Klemmer of UC San Diego. In this specialization, you will learn how to design technologies that bring people joy, rather than frustration. You'll learn techniques for rapidly prototyping and evaluating interfaces; how to use these designs to get feedback from other stakeholders; how to conduct fieldwork unearth design ideas; principles of visual design; and how to perform and analyze experiments.

there shouldnt be a option to view your profile because in the previous page you skipped filling a profile out.

Then we need to see it so that we can fill it later.

@VivekKumar-c3c just make the profile section un-skipable without the user imputing a username/password all the other information is optional and can be filled in later. Then there's something to point to just trying to make things a little more efficient for the system. It will cause issues on your server depending on how you set everything up. Everything works in theory it's in practice you'll find that your great idea just will not work. If you allow a guest to get that far into it and they have a disconnect event and they lose all progress they will be unlikely to return. with no way to recover from a change of device on the users side how would a guest account access their current location within the site? And how do you prevent someone else from accessing the information? Then there's the vulnerability issue with login-less systems. With phishing and MitM attacks... I think that your close to a good thing here but get feedback and execute accordingly. Good luck.

Knowing how to solve mathematical or statistical problems is different from being able to transfer such knowledge. Many, while thinking they are communicating knowledge, only speak to themselves. This video exemplifies that fact. Echoing one's thoughts is different from transmitting knowledge!

One question about three-way interaction terms. Let's label each variable A(main variable), B(1st moderator), C (2nd moderator). I'm interested in (hypothesize) the relationships A-B and A-B-C. Should all two-way (AB, AC, BC) and three-way interaction terms (A * B * C) be included in a regression model and result or would be it fine to include some of interest (AB, ABC) only?

Great video. Could you say a little bit about the covariance structure that was used for the Poisson analysis? In my analysis I found that it makes a huge difference if I change it from 'diagonal' to 'autoregressive' or 'compound symmetry'. How does one best estimate what works for a given repeated-measures dataset?

Too bad I didn't learn this one at my University :(. My Data's independent variable is scaled nominally, so I can't use regression. The response variable is a percentage value, so I can't use na Anova. Also I repeatedly measured the same subjects, so I need a repeated measures model. I guess Generalized Linear mixed model is the best way to examine within-subject and probably Generalized linear Model for within-subject comparison? I've never done this before and it's my Bachelor's Thesis :/ Thanks for the video!
